Seers of Light by Jennifer Delucy
I'll admit it has taken me a little while to get to the 100 pages of Seers of Light.  But it's not for the reason you think.  I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm reading this slowly to make it last.  I think I would have devoured this in one night if I allowed myself too.

Lily Hunt is 28 years old and appears to be having hallucinations, weird feelings, and vivid dreams.  While out in the woods she is attacked by some creature who appears to be slightly human.  Luckily she is saved by a mystery person before things got bad and is taken to Georgia.

I don't want to say too much but this definitely had me from the start and I understand why so many peopled loved this book.  I can't wait to see what happens next!

100 Pages Meme (3)

Burned by P. C and Kristin Cast

These first 100 pages have just flown by.  The dramas continue for poor Zoe Redbird in the 7th book of the House of Night series.

The book so far jumps between Zoe, Stark, Aphrodite, Stevie Ray and another charcter who I will not name.  It's definitely an interesting mix of character viewpoints.  Surprisingly, I'm really liking Aphrodite at the oment.

The tension is super high within the first few pages and I haven't been able to put this down.

It's so hard because I want to include so much here of what's going on but at the same time I don't want to give anything away for those of you who haven't picked this up to read yet.

I can tell already that this is going to be a book that will be read in one sitting and I think everyone is going to enjoy this one as much as I am right now.

Sentences that have really stood out for me: (this is also featured on the back of Burned too)
'Ya'll need to get yourselves together.  Here's a newsflash from the only High Priestess you have left at this dang school: Zoey isn't dead.  And believe me, I know dead.  I've been there, done that and got the fricken tee-shirt.'  I'm sure you will all be able to guess who that comes from.

 Tyger Tyger by Kersten Hamilton

The synopsis for this sucked me in completely.  While it took me a while to finally sit down and read this (as it's PDF I constantly get headaches from reading to long)but as soon as I am reading through the headache because I NEED to find out what happens next.  Right now at 100 pages in there are so many questions about what is going on.  The main one was 'Where does Finn fit into all of this?  And is there a real version of him out there somewhere lol.

I'm loving the writing style of Kersten and I'm glad I've picked this book up.

A few sentences that really stood out for me so far:
Don't be so hasty." Mr Wyllston patted Aiden's head, "To quote the Bard 'There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.' "

The Book Of Lies by James Moloney

A sleeping boy by the name of Marcel is brought to an orphanage by four men in the dead of night.  He is taken to a room where a sorcerer uses The Book of Lies to wipe away his past and all that he knows, and gives him a new identity.  Bea (an orphan staying in the house) secretly intercepts before the book finishes.

When Marcel wakes up he thinks his name is Robert until Bea pulls him asside to tell him his real name.  They form a friendship right from the beginning and I really liked Marcel/Robert as well as Bea.  The name Termagant stands out as well but I will leave it up to you to work out what that name is for. :)

So far this book reminds me a little of the Wardstone Chronicles by Joseph Delaney.  I can't wait to finish this.

A few sentences I really liked:
' "Your lie has been recorded in my book.  In fact, those who don't know any better call it The Book Of Lies.  Now, tell me the truth.  You hoped to hear what I said to this boy,  isn't that so?" '

I look forward to what happens next!  Will they succeed in their quest for truth?  Will Marcel get his memory back?
