First Lines:  "Guess Who?"  Haven's warm, clammy palms press hard against my cheeks as the tarnished edge of her silver skull ring leaves a smudge on my skin.

Synopsis:
Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste…
Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is. Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

My Thoughts:
Evermore was one of those books that I avoided because everyone raved about them.  I know that sounds silly, but once I hear of so many people praising up a book big time I tend to leave them alone until all the hype has died down.  Silly? Yeah maybe, but for me.. having many people rave over a book is like building someone's expectations up so high that when you actually get to read it, it's like well.. that really wasn't as good as you said it was lol.

With the warning in place, when I was offered the series to read in exchange for an interview I couldn't knock it back.  I did have Evermore on my list to read but it had moved down the list up until the point where I'd forgotten it was on there.  I'd like to thank you to Pan Macmillan for taking the chance to send me all six of these books.  After finishing Evermore I'm itching to start reading Blue Moon and I really enjoyed these characters that I feel like smacking myself upside the head for not reading these sooner. (and yes, admittedly the series I do leave tend to be really good)

So we get to meet sixteen year old Ever Bloom (Ever as in have you ever.. lol I just thought I'd clear it up because I must have been thinking it was said Eva) who has transferred over to Californa.  From Chapter 1 I'm drawn into Ever as a character.  She knows things that can't possibly be known and while she is quite pretty she dresses down to hide herself from others.  We are also introduced to Damen at the beginning as well too and he's the mix of mysterious and amusing stranger who at times has you wondering whether he is a player.

I really enjoyed the story and I have a few favourite secondary characters.  Riley and Miles being the stand outs in the crowd.  I didn't really like Haven at all throughout the book.  She had her good traits but she was the sort of character that for me feels a little shallow .. or maybe it's too much green eyed monster-like for me to like her.

While I won't say too much more on this book as I don't want to ruin it, I will admit the storyline isn't something new but the writing style is fresh and I enjoyed reading about Ever and her friends.

I'm looking forward to reading Blue Moon!
