In My Mailbox (24)

In My Mailbox is a weekly post created by The Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie!!

I would just like to point out that I may have gotten a little carried away this week buying books.  I actually went to a new shopping centre that happened to have TWO bookstores and a great variety of books.  So I come across a few that were on my to be read list.  Very excited but very broke now lol.

BOUGHT
(A Big THANK U to Stella from Ex Libris for sending this to me)
The Killing Place by Tess Gerritsen (A.K.A Ice Cold- Isles/Rizzoli  #8)

Unholy Magic by Stacia Kane (Downside Ghosts #2)
Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane (Downside Ghosts #3)
The Dead of the Night by John Marsden (The Tomorrow Series, #2)

White Cat by Holly Black (Curse Workers #1)

Cruzito's Mailbox

Cruzito doesn't know that he has this book YET.
Tonight we made an interesting discovery.  Two actually.  Cruzito has been getting out of his cot lately, which has resulted in me putting up the safety gate to his room (We live in a 2 storey place).  He had been going good up until tonight.

I was to the point of frustration because he had gotten out of his cot about 5 times.. cos he can.  I told him (in a slightly raised voice lol) 'If you can get out of the cot, you can get in the cot'.  I was about to pick him up when he decided he would climb back in the cot.  I could not believe it!  Cheeky little thing!

And if that wasn't enough!  I left him in his cot only to come back not even 5 minutes later to check on him and found he was out of the cot AND had pulled 2 drawers out a little(the chest of drawers is 5 drawers high) and using them as steps to reach up where his books, and things I don't want him getting to were kept.  MY GOD!!  This child is too smart for his own good LOL.

So what did you get in your IMM this week?

  8. Nice books! I am looking forward to reading the Downside Ghosts books soon. My TBR is so huge. I've been skipping ahead books that I've gotten recently, instead of reading in the order that I've had them. But, I can't resist! I've heard such good things about the Stacia Kane books.
    Enjoy!

  13. Wow, great mailbox for you this week :-)

And congrats, you certainly will get your hands full with such a smart and cheek cutie pie :-D

Last week was kind of bleak bookwise as I haven't received anything (don't know if my postman is on holiday or what), so I hope this week will be better :-)

Great selection of books you got! I'm curious about Raised by Wolves, looking forward to your review, the cover sure looks gorgeous :-)

Oh and Halo, that one is a novel I can't wait to read, it sounds fascinating and again it has a truly beautiful cover.

Glad that The Enchanted Forest Chromicles have reached you, I hope you'll enjoy them, have heard great things about it! :-)

  15. You have some AWESOME books there - so many I'm dying to get my hands on: the Stacia Kane books (I'm a little wary of them because of the MC's drug problems :s), White Cat (that cover is gorgeous!) and Raised by Wolves (Jeaniene Frost said it was awesome :) ... Happy Reading! (",)

Hope you enjoy the Dead of the Night ... I liked the series and made it to the end of book 3, but it was just TOO depressing after a while and really got me down ... finally I decided to move onto something a little more positive :o
