In My Mailbox (13)

In My Mailbox is a weekly post created by The Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie!! (This post was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.)

BOUGHT
Liar by Justine Larbalestier

Micah Wilkins admits she's a liar. But will murder be enough of a reason to stop lying? An extraordinary and original story that will have you grasping for the truth until the very last page.
Secrets, lies, murder and betrayal. Micah Wilkins is a liar. But when her boyfriend, Zach, dies under brutal circumstances, the shock might be enough to set her straight. Or maybe not. Especially when lying comes as naturally to her as breathing. Was Micah dating Zach? Did they kiss? Did she see him the night he died? And is she really hiding a family secret? Where does the actual truth lie?
Liar is a breathtaking roller-coaster read that will have you up all night, desperately seeking for something true.

More Monsters Galore by Trevor Salter

After being shooed and frightened away by Ben and Kate's mother many years ago, the monsters vowed to get their revenge.  As the years passed Ben and Kate grew up, both married and had children of their own.  Meanwhile the monsters had been concocting a monstrous big plan.
On Christmas Eve the whole family will gather at Ben's house... and so will the monsters.  It will be the perfect time for the monsters to put their plan into action.
*Also includes more fun activities for children*

So, that's my mailbox.  What's in yours?

  1. Ok, if you want to giggle--I didn't see you list the title right underneath the picture and when you started describing the book---I thought that is a bit intense for a book with warm fuzzy monsters on it :) Until I realized that it was the second book in the picture! I am sure the little one will enjoy the monster one and the Liar, Liar one looks intense!
