Synopsis
Love is a battlefield.
Just when Dru thought she was safe, everything exploded in her face. Her mom and dad are long gone, her protectors Graves and Christophe kinda want to rip each other's throats out, and a four-hundred-year-old nosferat named Sergej won't stop hunting her until his bloodthirsty army of suckers has torn her to shreds.
Dru's finally made it to the Schola Prima - the Real Deal djamphir training facility and home of the Order - and life is about to get even more Real World. There's a brand new svetocha in town - a readheaded vixen named Anna who's got the Order wrapped around her pretty little finger, and who'd rather kill Dru than share the spotlight. Turns out Dru's got something Anna wants. And his name just happens to be Christophe Reynard.
My Thoughts

I absolutely loved Strange Angels and Betrayals and I had high hopes for this one.  Although with the cover of Jealousy, and I'm not sure if it's the same girl, I much preferred Betrayal and Strange Angels model to portray Dru.  Just my own thoughts there.

So Dru is now at the real Schola Prima, the one she was meant to go to from the beginning.  Ash is still broken, Christophe is still ducking off into the great beyond of god-knows-where and Graves as always, is by her side.  Oh yeah, almost forgot about the other Svetocha, Anna.  Things couldn't get any more interesting could they?

Jealousy is a well written story.  The beginning is a little slower but with character building and jumping from past to present, it adds depth to each character and also answers some of the questions that have been left open from the previous books.  The history of the Schola Prima goes in depth too, and was interesting but I kinda felt like skipping some of it to get back on track.  I didn't though because I think every bit of info that Lili gives us throughout each book pops up throughout the series and is pretty useful.

As always, Dru is one of my favourite characters in this series followed close behind by Graves.  I'm not sure what to think of Christophe though, especially now.  We also get to meet a few more cool characters as well. Hiro is definitely one I'd like to see in future books.

I only had one little issue and that was the ending.  There is so much I'd love to say about how I feel about this and why I kind of felt let down on but I'm keeping my lips sealed!! :)  I guess I will have to wait until Defiance which will be out in April 2011 from Goodread tells me.

  4. Larissa: She looks a little different on the cover of this one. But it could be just the angle the others were taken on too. Good to know :)
